About the project

The “Green Wrocław University of  Science and Technology in Unite!” project is being implemented by Wrocław University of  Science and Technology between 1 October 2025 and 31 May 2027 as part of the NAWA European Universities Support Programme – 2025. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund (ESF 2021–2027) as part of the “Support for European University Alliances” project, No. FERS.01.05-IP.08-0219/23.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the potential of Wrocław University of Science and Technology as a partner of the Unite! alliance in the areas of education, research and university management through the implementation of innovative forms of education, the development of international cooperation, and the promotion of academic mobility for staff and students. Project activities focus on supporting the green transition and sustainable development in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal.


The project involves the development of modern teaching methods, short-term international mobility programmes (BIP), solutions supporting the recognition of qualifications and micro-credentials, as well as teaching and research cooperation between the partner universities of the Unite! alliance. The implementation of the project contributes to the internationalisation of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the strengthening of the academic community’s competences, and the building of a modern and open academic environment that responds to contemporary social and climate challenges.

The project is aimed at:

  • first- and second-year students at Wrocław University of Technology and Unite! partner institutions,
  • PhD students at Wrocław University of Science Technology
  • academic staff and administrative staff at Wrocław University of Technology participating in the project through activities designed to help them acquire skills and qualifications.

1.    Development of short-term mobility programmes (BIP) centred on the theme of the ‘green campus’ – thematic mobility utilising tools developed by the Unite! alliance (metacampus).
2.    A Living Lab for sustainable development.
3.    Initiation and piloting of the development of Open Educational Resources (OER) within the Unite! alliance to support sustainable development.
4.    Development of collaborative online and offline learning (COILs) with partner universities on climate change, renewable energy and sustainable development goals.
5.    Joint activities to promote flexible lifelong learning (LLL) within the Unite! alliance, utilising micro-credentials
6.    Organisation of an international summer school for Unite! students in Wrocław.
7.    Organisation of the international Unite! Green Research Days conference as a platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation on the green transition.
8.    Supporting green innovation and interdisciplinary research collaboration within the Unite! framework through an internship programme and networking activities.
9.    Strengthening the capacity of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology’s academic and administrative staff through Design Thinking methodology, green management and micro-credentials within the Unite! collaboration

The project will result in the development of international cooperation within the Unite! alliance, the enhancement of participants’ skills in the field of the green transition, the creation of modern teaching materials and open educational resources, the development of innovative forms of education and mobility, and the strengthening of Wrocław University of Technology’s position as an active partner within Unite! in the fields of sustainable development, digitalisation and social integration.


The total value of the project is PLN  1 410 050, 43.


The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund 2021–2027.
